Conditions of Hire

(1)         A BOND is required to secure your booking within 7 days of reservation. Your booking will be confirmed by return mail receipt.

(2)         Your BOND will be refunded within 7 days of your return once Management has checked the vessel. The houseboat and all equipment given to you in good working order. A further deduction will be made should there be any damage or loss to the boat or equipment. The houseboat is cleaned prior to your arrival and we expect the same level of cleanliness when you depart. THANK YOU for your consideration in this regard. PLEASE NOTE: ANY EXTRA CLEANING REQUIRED WILL BE CHARGED.

(3)         FULL CHARGES ARE TO BE PAID prior to departure. Cash, Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa, Bank Cheques or Personal Cheques are accepted 14 days prior to your  arrival. All other charges including Ice, Bait, Tackle Hire, Service Runs and Provisions must be paid in full at the completion of your hire.

(4)         CANCELLATIONS – The deposit/bond will be refunded less a Cancellation Fee of $50 if a minimum of 60 days notice is given. A refund will not be given if the boat cannot be rebooked for the same period.

(5)         FUEL COST - $35 per registered engine hour, including Gas and Houseboat Fuel. Rates subject to change without notice.

(6)         SKIPPER’S AGE – The skipper of the vessel must be over 21 years of age and sign a Hire Agreement and Briefing Form – I.D. required.

(7)         GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS APPLY – Sorry, no pets or firearms are permitted on-board. Passengers must not exceed the number of berths on-board.

(8)         HIRE TIMES – 11am on day of arrival, 11am departure on the hire.  WEEKENDS: 3 nights minimum hire WEEKDAYS: 2 nights minimum hire.

(9)         ALL SAFETY EQUITMENT is provided for EMERGENCY ONLY. Any equipment used will be charged for i.e. Fire Extinguisher.

(10)       PLEASE NOTE: RESERVATION & HIRING of the HOUSEBOATS & LEISURE CRAFT is at Managements discretion. Should a mechanical breakdown occur or any unforeseen circumstance that will affect the houseboat hire all monies paid will be refunded. The Hirer has no further claims against Management whatsoever and howsoever rising prior to, during and subsequent to the term of the hire.

(11)      In proceeding with the houseboat hire, the hirer acknowledges the reading, understanding and the acceptance of these conditions on the hirers behalf and on the behalf of all other occupants of the houseboat during the term of hire.
